Life Update
Today, I just wanted to do a quick Life Update. It’s nothing big or special. Just kinda an overview of what has happened in the last week or so.
As you may know, I moved out of my parents’ house and am now in a cabin. It’s honestly pretty big for me being the only occupant. I love it. There is enough space for my books!
However, it is a cabin. An old cabin. So that… means bugs. I mean, it’s not that big of a deal. The biggest pest are ants, and boy are they a pest, but I’m heading to Walmart today to get some ant-killer. As for the spiders? I like spiders. I can’t say I’m a fan of having them IN my shoes when I put them on, but if there’s a tiny spider or five, I’m not upset. In fact, there was one spider I thought was interesting, so I caught her and named her Inej (which you may have already known. She was definitely mentioned in my last blog post). Good news, she ate a cricket last night! Well, she started to. The cricket was larger than her, and she’s a slow eater, so it’s not gone yet, but I’m still proud of her!
Speaking of Inej, I’m now officially on to Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo. I have to say I’m every bit invested in this book as I was with Six of Crows, and I stand by my statement of Leigh Bardugo being my new favorite author and idol. She is INCREDIBLE with words! My favorite character is probably Jesper. I may have bought a betta fish and NAMED him Jesper. I now have two Six of Crows characters living in my house…
And speaking of my house again (man, how unorganized is my brain today), I just bought two armchairs, and they are so comfy!
Completely unrelated, but I get to go skating tonight? I’m so stoked! I mean, it isn’t a rare occurrence that I get to skate (it happens about twice a week), but I never fail to get excited about it. On ice, I’m working on single jumps (all except the Lutz and Axel), Scratch Spins, and some footwork drills. Off ice, I’m working on Axels! In any case, I absolutely love skating, and the feeling of being on the ice is just splendid!
Fun fact: I’m coming up on the one-year anniversary of having my own skates!
Also unrelated, but I recently started up a bullet journal, and let me tell you… It is awesome. Mine isn’t very pretty—I’m very much so still learning how to use it—but so far it’s been pretty functional, and I love it! It has helped me keep track of all the things I need, and if you’re on the fence about starting one up, here is your push. Start it. It’s amazing.
I think that’s all I have for today. Let me know about the things happening in your life? I want to hear all about it!
